Twenty seven years after his Test debut and four years after he retired from the sport, a movie is being made about the life of Sachin Tendulkar. Titled Sachin: A Billion Dreams, the trailer of the film gives a glimpse into the high and low points of the cricketer’s life.
It was an occasion to revisit memories as cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar launched the trailer of ‘Sachin – A Billion Dreams’ in Mumbai today. The crowded auditorium in Juhu, Mumbai was witness to the love that the master blaster commands as the audience cheered and applauded after the first screening of the trailer.
The film stars Tendulkar himself, his son Arjun and Mayuresh Prem, who essays the role of Nitin Tendulkar. The plot will touch upon the most memorable moments of his professional and personal life.
In an interview about this film, Tendulkar said, “For so many years, I did whatever I wanted to do and the camera captured that. Suddenly I was asked to do particular things and then the camera captured that, so it was a bit different for me. Believe me, the first option was better… Acting is not something that I dreamt of. Without any doubt, acting was more challenging than playing cricket. I enjoyed playing more.”
